FACELIFT & NECKLIFT BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS – PATIENT 17

This 68 year old patient presented to Dr. Siamak Agha for a Facelift procedure. The patient was unhappy with her aging face and desired a more youthful appearance. Upon examination, Dr. Agha found that the patient had prominent nasolabial folds and moderate degree of jowling, cheek descent, as well as a moderate degree of neck tissue and skin laxity.

To address these issues, Dr. Agha performed a Facelift, Neck Lift, and Fat Transfer to the cheeks. First, a very small incision was made under the patient’s chin. Through this incision, a Corset Platysmaplasty was performed, and the patient’s neck muscles and bands were tightened. This decreased the sagging skin below the chin, and gave the patient a sharper, more youthful looking jawline from the side profile.

Then, small incisions were made on either side of the patient’s face, hidden in her sideburns. The incisions were extended into the natural creases of her ears, and back behind the ear lobe. Through these incisions, her facial skin was elevated to expose the facial muscles which were then repositioned higher to correct for the sagging that occurs with age. The skin was also tightened and redraped to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lastly, a small amount of the patient’s fat was transferred into her cheeks to correct for the depletion and decent of her cheek fat.

After her procedure, the patient had a much more youthful, uplifted face and neck, with less wrinkling and sagging. The patient’s Face Lift and Neck Lift before and after photos were taken 5 months after her procedure and she was very happy with her results.
