Patient Details
This patient of 48 years of age, presented to Dr. Siamak Agha for liposuction of her abdomen, saddle bags, inner thighs and lower back. The patient was unhappy with the prominence of these areas.
On examination of her abdomen, Dr. Agha noted that the patient had a moderate degree of lower abdominal muscle separation, also known as rectus diasthesis. Patient also had a moderate degree of flank, lower back, saddlebags, inner thigh and lower abdominal lipodystrophy (excess fat).
During a 4 hours surgery, Dr. Agha liposuctioned the patient’s lower back, saddlebags, inner thigh, waist and abdomen. He also performed a mini-tummy tuck with abdominal muscle repair. To do this, the patient’s navel was lifted off of the abdominal muscle, the abdominal muscle was then repaired, and the navel was then sutured back to the muscle again. The excess lower abdominal skin was then excised.
